Overland Park, Kansas, has a wonderful place called the Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead. It's full of animals and gardens and other farmy stuff, and it's Free four days a week. My kind of distraction. Highly recommend it to all those souls who find themselves in Overland Park, Kansas.
Frances was none too sure about these baby goats. She had spied a train and didn't want to get distracted by any furry, living, breathing animal.
She perked up a bit more for the "tractor" rides. Her legs weren't quite long enough to work the pedals, but maybe by the time we visit for Lindsay's next offspring? Huh, Lindsay?
"Maybe if I stay very still, Mom won't find me under here and make me go look at more animals."
And here's Frances and Cousin Zoe on the train. Thank goodness the farm's designers knew we would need a train on our farm visit.
