And then the circus came to town

And by "circus," I mean Beka.

My friend Beka was in town for one of her Professional Savers of the World conferences and needed a place to stay because Professional Savers of the World don't tend to work for places that can pay for hotel rooms. Fine by us, it just meant more time together.

We had to try on some of the goodies Beka has bestowed on us, like this pink tutu she gave Frances before Frances was even born.

I thought it looked particularly good with Frances's overalls.

Then Beka found Frances's tutu from Tara's wedding and needed to try it on, any way she could. Add a flower headband for Frances, and you get...

Frances wasn't nearly as amused as we were.

The finished product:

Sorry, kiddo. Haverford College assigned me to her and she's probably with us for life. Enjoy the ride.

  1. You seem to have missed the picture where she looked super pleased to be so well dressed (sparkles, bright colors and frufru-tutu) and spun around to show everyone how her tutu flairs out. What a lucky kid! Thanks for hosting me. when are you guys coming to the big city?

  2. That picture turned out blurry, gosh darn it. Mark is going to be busy applying to jobs next semester. Maybe Frances and I will need a little trip down.

Lets make a plan for that. The Brooklyn Children's museum is apparently super fun. I will confirm that it would be fun for both a 1.?yr old, her grown but immature mother and her fabulously fun nyc auntie. Did you get the best ever thank you card from me???? Did it involve an advent calendar?

  4. We did get the best ever thank you card from you and it involved a fabulous advent calendar. (You're such a good Jew, remind me to tell you that more often.) We open it every night before bed. So far we've got a Santa Claus, a horse and a star ornament, and a tea kettle we were instructed to put in one of the present boxes under the tree. Coolest advent calendar ever. There was a little girl staring in our window the other day, trying to get a better look at it. I think the little girl is Israeli, so another generation of Santa-loving Jews is well under way. Kudos.
