Not being idiots, we stopped in at the Jordan Pond House for tea. I don't think a one of us had hot tea, but hot tea isn't really the point. Popovers are the point. Alas, Frances's love of popovers seems to have waned, but she consoled herself with ice cream.
After noshing, we corralled the kids just long enough to get a picture of the whole Upton-Cowen-Weneck clan.
From left to right, we've got James Malcolm Cowen (#3 in the line-up), Nora Ellen Cowen (the big #1), Grant Joseph Weneck (the newest at #6), Clare Frances Cowen (#2), Frances Elliott Upton (#5, no we couldn't come up with a more original name) and Zoe Ann Weneck (#4). They look good for a bunch of kids who'd rather be running around enhancing other diners' tea, don't they?
